After Hours Caretaker

We are looking for an experienced, caring and engaged After Hours Caretaker.
This casual on-call position is responsible for after-hours callouts on site and internal security duties for the residence.
Misericordia Terrace is a 55-plus independent assisted living residence.

The successful applicant will have demonstrated knowledge of:

Safety standards and previous working experience within Apartment buildings
Resident relations
Working within the senior sector
Some handyperson skills

You will have the ability to:

Ensure all areas of the building are safe, attractive, and comfortable. Daily attention to detail is critical.
Move freely throughout the building including the staircases to inspect for hazards.
Undertake light maintenance work (i.e., plunge blocked toilet, turn off valves, lock and secure premises).
Act as the building’s evening and night security, alerting the appropriate authorities of problems and assisting with solutions.
Create and maintain a friendly and welcoming environment to build relationships with our clients and team.
